Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to learn more about me and my campaign for Assembly District 23.
I’m proud to say that I am not a politician--I’m an educator. I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Education. I presently teach third grade at Sue H. Morrow Elementary School and I’ve taught elementary-aged children my entire career. Many of my 17 years in the classroom have been spent teaching children with special needs, including autism. Through my involvement with my family, students, church, and community I have learned that service to others is one of the keys to happiness in life.
Fluent in Spanish, I’ve taught both bilingual and traditional special education. I have seen firsthand the dramatic improvement that children from all walks of life are able to make with a helping hand. I’m proud to see the difference I’ve helped make in their lives--the impact they have had on my own life is invaluable.
My students are why I’m running. The opportunity to make even a small difference in the lives of the children of Nevada (and the lives of their parents and families) through my service in Carson City makes it all worth it. I have been fortunate to work for so many students and families to improve our education system here in Nevada.
I can’t do it alone, though, I need the help of each of you. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you or any of your organizations in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more about me and my campaign.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
