Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to learn more about me and my campaign for Assembly District 23.
I’m proud to say that I am not a politician--I’m an educator. I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Education. I presently teach at Sue H. Morrow Elementary School and I’ve taught elementary-aged children my entire career. The majority of my 13 years in the classroom have been teaching children with special needs. Through my involvement with my family, students, church, and community I have learned that service to others is one of the keys to happiness in life.
Fluent in Spanish, I’ve taught both bilingual and traditional special education and currently work with children who have autism. I have seen firsthand the dramatic improvement that children from all walks of life are able to make with a helping hand. I’m proud to see the difference I’ve helped make in their lives--the impact they have had on my own life is invaluable.
My students are why I’m running. If I’m able to make a small difference in the lives of the children of Nevada (and the lives of their parents and families) through my service in Carson City, then it’s all worth it.
I can’t do it alone, though, I need the help of each of you. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you or any of your organizations in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more about me and my campaign.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
