Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to learn more about me and my campaign for Assembly District 23.

I’m proud to say that I am not a politician--I’m an educator. I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Education. I presently teach third grade at Sue H. Morrow Elementary School and I’ve taught elementary-aged children my entire career.  Many of my 17 years in the classroom have been spent teaching children with special needs, including autism. T
hrough my involvement with my family, students, church, and community I have learned that service to others is one of the keys to happiness in life.

Fluent in Spanish, I’ve taught both bilingual and traditional special education.   I have seen firsthand the dramatic improvement that children from all walks of life are able to make with a helping hand. I’m proud to see the difference I’ve helped make in their lives--the impact they have had on my own life is invaluable.

My students are why I’m running.  The opportunity to make even a small difference in the lives of the children of Nevada (and the lives of their parents and families) through my service in Carson City makes it all worth it.  I have been fortunate to work for so many students and families to improve our education system here in Nevada.

I can’t do it alone, though, I need the help of each of you. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you or any of your organizations in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more about me and my campaign.

I look forward to talking with you soon.
